Every other sport has multiple leagues players can play in. What's wrong with football players having another opportunity to play. I would bet several players are on opening day rosters next season in the NFL.

Pretty good point. NBA has G-league, MLB has minors, same as NHL, etc. This could essentially be viewed as the same thing

Saw some of Birmingham Iron and Salt Lake Stallions today. San Diego’s kicker missed three FGs.

I've enjoyed watching it so far, even if my team (Salt Lake) is now 0-2, although I think they got screwed on the fumble on the punt returned for a TD today.

Offenses need to catch up to defenses but that is always the case with new leagues. Defenses are always ahead. They have only been together for just over a month now.

The coaching decisions by Salt Lake to constantly kick really long FGs instead of punting killed them today. If the kicker could consistently kick 45+ yard FGs he'd be in the NFL already.

Salt Lake's kicker you mean.

And yeah, I'm not sure why they kept kicking those long FGs instead of punting. Bad decision by the coaching staff, especially with how good their defense was playing.

I've been surprisingly impressed with the league. I did not have high hopes but after six games, I can honestly say I have seen worse. Fortunately when the game play is bad, it atleast is humorous with awful turnovers, bad passes, blown coverage and let's not even get into the microphones that allow you to hear swearing, fighting, and general chaos.

From a betting perspective, this league is AMAZING. We have really had a good time handicapping this league as Vegas is not totally certain what to expect in these matches. In week 1 I was able to go 3-1 by just applying a few rules... This week, knowing that Vegas would overadjust for the public has been unreal. Case and point: Memphis/Arizona. Arizona looked like the best team in the league, while Memphis simply did not impress anyone. Arizona opened as a 10.5 point favorite but by kickoff they were 16 point favorites!!!!! Those of us who know how to recognize something like this, just sat back and waited. After thinking perhaps Arizona could win by a touchdown and a fieldgoal, they were expected to win by 2+ touchdowns?! No way Jose.

I threw together a betting guide for Week 2 AAF... Currently my picks are 3-1, and my plays (most recommended) are 1-0. Check it out on our site http://www.thebrkdwnsports.com/aaf-f...betting-guide/ and follow us along on twitter @theBRKDWNsports

I meant watching it. It will serve its purpose rightfully so, but I'm not interested in watching it at all, nor keeping up with it.
