Default Gender Workplace Diversity

Should companies be required to have at least one woman on their board of directors? This is something CA is looking in doing

I don't like that. Kind of like the Rooney rule in football to an extent. If you fill your board of directors with the most qualified individuals and ones you trust the most, it shouldn't matter the gender. Basically if this is passed you'll have someone placed onto the board that could be ousted by the others and would just cause future conflict.

If a biological man says he is a woman would that count? CA shoots themselves in the proverbial foot again.

The issue is men generally believe other men are the most qualified. You end up with gender discrimination because it's really hard to objectively measure qualifications. I don't necessarily think affirmative action type policies are the best route to follow, but I do think it's a step forward from no regulations.

And democratic women believe it usually takes a woman to get the job done.

Is this seriously a question? Whoever is the most qualified for a position should have that position. IS THERE A WOMAN ON THE OTH BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
