St Louis Blues #Winnington

So itís fun to play with small sample sizes, but I am very encouraged by this one player in particular. Rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington, in his first five starts in the NHL, has gone 4-0-1 and honestly has given the Blues the spark they needed to think about making a wild card run. In fact, I have even coined the phrase #Winnington because he has done so well to start out. From what I have seen from Binnington, it looks like he is the one the Blues will roll with over Jake Allen.

My question is can he keep this up and if he can, have the Blues found their goalie of the future? I sure hope so because he seems to have a lot of promise.

I was actually going to create a thread about this. I love what Binnington has done so far and I think he can definitely surpass Allen. I would say he’s definitely the goalie of the future.

Allen has struggled for some time now, and I'm happy for the Blues that they were able to find a replacement from within their system. That team is certainly better than their record, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them make noise in the playoffs this season.

They got to get there first and they still have other issues besides goaltending. The defense needs to step up and the top 6 really need to get it in gear (I’m looking at you Schwartz and Tarasenko)

Don’t look now, but just three back of a wild card spot. I’m not holding my breath, but the talent may finally be starting to come together.

Damn that’s crazy, I lost track. Between Binnington and Carter Hart, young goalies have been out in full force.

The guy with another shut out last night. That raises his personal winning streak to 8 games I believe.

And shuts out Minnesota. Not only that, but he's also pushed Jake Allen to play better too. Idk how long this wave will last, but I'm here for every second of it.
