AAF Johnny Manziel to the AAF

Johnny Football is coming back to the United States, yay.

The former Heisman Trophy winner was claimed by the Memphis Express a couple hours after announcing he signed a standard player contract with the AAF. San Antonio owned his rights, (due his alma mater), but immediately waived them. Memphis, on the other hand, is the most QB-needy team in the league. The team turned to Zack Mettenberger after benching Christian Hackenberg. Mettenberger was lost to injury and the team start a 3rd string QB on Saturday.

Default Johnny Manziel to the Memphis Express of AAF

Former NFL QB Johnny Manziel was claimed by the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football.
The San Antonio Commanders relinquished Manziel's rights, paving his path to Memphis. Manziel is expected to report to the team on Sunday. Depending on his level of fitness, Johnny Football should have a chance to see the field right away. The quarterback position has been a revolving door for the Express, who benched Jets bust Christian Hackenberg for Zach Mettenberger early in the season, only for Mettenberger to get hurt in Saturday's loss to Salt Lake. The former Heisman Trophy winner disappointed during his short stay in Canada, compiling only five touchdowns with seven interceptions over an eight-game stint with Montreal.
    Thoughts?

Giving this guy so many chances and all these talks about him. It needs to stop. Itís getting boring.

I like that he's trying to get his life back on track and trying to prove that football is his priority and his talent. Hopefully, this will be the shot he gets to prove himself. He's running out of chances, as I think this, at the most, is his penultimate chance to prove himself.

Good luck to him. I'll watch if he gets to play. I am enjoying this league and I am still pulling that he gets his life together.
