Los Angeles Lakers Ingram, Ball out for season

Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram has been diagnosed with a deep venous thrombosis in his right arm and is expected to miss the rest of the season, the team said Saturday.

Ingram, who is averaging a career-best 18.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season, had missed the past two games with a sore right shoulder. Further tests on Friday revealed the diagnosis.

He had started every game this season before the injury.
Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball has been shut down for the remainder of the season, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Ball had his left ankle re-evaluated by doctors today and sides agreed on course of action.

Between these two injuries and LeBron's minute restriction, it sounds like they're throwing the white flag.

Ball basically is what he is, but Ingram being out could be huge. This is a way more serious injury than just a season-ender. This could lead him down the same road as Chris Bosh.
