" The Yankees are trying to stay under the luxury tax threshold and have no one in their system that is anywhere near ready to step in and play 3B at the major league level. Andujar is inexpensive and is acceptable defensively, along with good at the bat. If they are going to trade anyone, it should be Hicks. He has blossomed in New York. "

" Another player that was on the Hall of Fame highway, but got derailed by injuries. According to baseball reference, his career WAR was 50.2 with a 7-year peak of 40.2 and a JAWS rating of 45.3. Excellent player, but not quite good enough for the Hall, IMO.
